FASHION DESIGN EXPERIMENT

Bonga with hand painted scarf - textile experiments students fashion, Johannesburg, April 2016

April - May 2016. Together with students fashion design of IMBALI, Johannesburg, South Africa, Xynergy Art Projects developed a range of scarfs and a few bags as samples for a new fashion aproach. These have been made and decorated in an experimental way with paint, brushes, hand-prints, beads, shells and other materials in an intuitive way :  'just go with the flow'. In doing so, the process is as important as the outcome, as always is the case with XYNERGY projects. The synergy and energy of people working together and inspiring eachother in unexpecting ways is an important ingredient for the new vibe. This creates the scarfs to be unusual, vibrant with the energy of enthusiasm, and every piece as a unique item.  September - October 2016. Coming September we are planning to continue and develop the scarfs towards whole outfits which are wearable and at the same time unique art pieces. The temporary work-name for the label is derived from Xynergy International South Africa : X i S @
